Your new office space is gorgeous. I am miles away but drafting off the beauty of the natural light streaming in and how you've decorated it. I have ADHD and autism and cannot imagine communicating without 29 billion units of nuance and qualification (some of it cringey and apologetic, some of it erudite perseveration over-explaining). You are not alone. And you are not broken or defective or inadequate for your use of parentheses, or anything else, as you communicate your thoughts. You are beautiful, as are all the centers of consciousness within you, your IFS parts--which brings me to the input I've got for the newsletter. If at some point you might be willing to weigh in on your experience with, and assessment of, the Internal Family System model of spirituality (being as woo as you'd like!!!! bring it!!!), I would be delighted. You are loved. Thank you for writing this newsletter.
Love the new space! I value that this letter is a space where we show up as we are and all our parts are welcome. I value it just as it is. Love reading everyoneβs comments too and feeling we are all growing together. My spirituality is pretty βwoo wooβ and not something Iβll ever put into a box again. Iβm into the struggle, and the beauty. Much love to you.
Great office--looks so cozy and homey! Can't wait for those mystical woo woo topics! Mysticism is one of my special interests. Also I love all the tools a writer has to emphasize, understate, and elaborate: parentheses, brackets, ellipses, dashes, colons, boldface, all capitals, and quotes (what tools did I forget?)! Oh yeah--emojis! π
The immense joy it brings me to envision you meeting with clients and experiencing the outside. Itβs a game changer. There are times, especially on sunny days, that I just stand by the window in the sunshine and notice whatβs out there and let the warmth of the sun burn away any stresses. Itβs just a moment, and it carries me through the day.
Parentheses (and dashes and ellipses, etc.) are totally a neurodivergent thing! I first came across it with a screenshot of a tweet from @donidonovan (ADHD Comics): "The ADHD urge to use parentheses in every sentence (because every thought comes with additional bonus content)."
And congrats on the new (ish) office space! (I know I'm terribly behind here. It's been a bit.) Daylight (and thus the ability to really feel time passing, among other things) makes a world of difference.
Iβm late to this because I needed some time off the app. I canβt wait to here more on the developments in your spiritual practice. Iβm also seeking ways to rebuild so Iβm looking forward to following your journey

Congrats on the new space, itβs gorgeous! Yay for sunlight! I think parentheses must be a ND thing. The urge to use them all the time is strong.
